Qualification Required for Each Post
Emergency Officer (Medical): MBBS with valid registration from PMDC or PMC.
Hostel Warden (Female): A Bachelor’s degree or 14 years of education (BS/B.Sc) in Social Sciences, Psychology or Management from an HEC-recognized university. Candidates also need at least 2 years of relevant experience in hostel administration or public sector management.
Assistant Hostel Warden (Female): The same degree requirement as above. Relevant experience is preferred, not compulsory.
Attendant (Female): Matriculation with a House Keeping Certificate. Relevant experience is preferred.
Fire DERT Rescuer (FDR): A Diploma of Associate Engineering in Chemical, Electronics, Mining, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Telecommunication or Architecture. It must be 2nd Division from a recognized institution.
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): A Nursing or Paramedical degree or diploma (2nd Division) from a recognized Board, Council or University.
Rescue Driver (LTV): Secondary School Certificate (2nd Division) from a recognized board, plus a valid LTV license.

Selection Process
Candidates will go through several stages:
- Written and psychological tests
- Physical tests
- Skill test
- Final interview at the Emergency Services Headquarters, Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore
Qualifying candidates will be displayed on the CTS and ESD websites after each stage. All communication will also be made through these two websites, so check them regularly.
At the interview, candidates must submit a medical report from a Government Teaching Hospital or DHQ Hospital. It should cover height, weight, chest, eyesight and physical deformities, plus lab tests for Hepatitis B and C, HIV and RPR.

Important Terms and Conditions
- Medical standards: The advertisement lists vision below 6/6 in each eye (without glasses), colour blindness, BMI of 30 or above, and Hepatitis B/C, HIV and RPR positive status in connection with shortlisting at any stage. The printed wording is unclear, so confirm exactly how it applies to your post with CTS before applying.
- Large number of applicants: Only applications with preferred or enhanced criteria may be considered.
- No relaxation: There is no relaxation in age or qualification, including for Army or civil candidates. Existing Emergency Services Department employees get a 5-year relaxation in the upper age limit for administrative posts only.
- Physical preference: Preference goes to candidates taller than 5.6 feet, with a minimum chest size of 33 inches.
- Local preference: Local residents as per CNIC will be given preference.
- Quotas: 5% for minorities and 15% for females. Shemales can also apply.
- Number of posts: The department may increase or decrease posts depending on availability.
- Verification: Appointment depends on document verification, Police Verification, successful completion of training and clearance by the medical board constituted by the Government of the Punjab.
