Migration of MBBS/BDS Students in Affiliated Private Sector Medical and Dental Institutions – 2026

The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, hereby invites applications, to be submitted through the prescribed online portal, from eligible candidates seeking migration in the MBBS and BDS programmes offered by affiliated private sector medical and dental institutions. All such applications shall be processed strictly in accordance with the Regulations for Migration of Students, 2023, as notified on 24 January, 2024.

The institution-wise details of available seats for migration are as follows:

A) MBBS VACANT SEATS FOR MIGRATION IN PRIVATE SECTOR MEDICAL COLLEGES 2026

B) BDS VACANT SEATS FOR MIGRATION IN PRIVATE SECTOR MEDICAL COLLEGES 2026

Eligibility Criteria

1. The applicant shall be duly enrolled in a private sector medical or dental college recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

2. For migration to the Third, Fourth, or Final Year of the MBBS programme, the applicant must have passed the Second, Third, or Fourth Professional MBBS examination, respectively, conducted by a recognized university.

3. For migration to the Second, Third, or Final Year of the BDS programme, the applicant must have passed the First, Second, or Third Professional BDS examination, respectively.

4. In cases of inter-university migration, equivalence of courses and subjects shall be determined by the UHS Equivalence/Relevance Committee. Migration shall not be permitted where any deficiency in courses or subjects is identified at the relevant academic level.

5. Students enrolled in foreign institutions may apply for migration to affiliated private sector colleges subject to the following conditions:

   a) completion of a minimum of two (02) years of study;

   b) successful completion of the corresponding final examinations; and

   c) qualification of the National Equivalence Board (NEB) Examination conducted by PM&DC. Where any subject forms a mandatory component of the UHS curriculum but is not covered in the NEB Examination, UHS shall conduct an independent assessment. The applicant shall be required to qualify such assessment prior to appearing in the final professional examination of the migration year, failing which the provisional migration shall stand cancelled.

Application Procedure

1. Applications shall be submitted exclusively through the online portal (http://migration.uhs.edu.pk). Applications submitted by any other mode shall not be entertained.

2. Applicants shall accurately complete the prescribed online form and indicate their order of preference for institutions, which, once submitted, shall be final and non-revisable.

3. Each applicant shall generate and deposit a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 12,000/- through the designated challan at any branch of the Bank of Punjab or via online banking, and upload proof of payment along with requisite details.

4. The applicant shall upload the following documents in JPG format (maximum size: 2MB per document):

   a) CNIC or Passport;

   b) recent passport-size photograph;

   c) duly attested copies of academic credentials, including SSC, HSSC, MDCAT/NEB, and detailed marks certificates of all professional examinations (verified by the Controller of Examinations in case of inter-university migration), attested by the Principal of the current institution;

   d) admission/joining letter indicating aggregate merit at the time of admission;

   e) proof of last fee paid;

   f) No Dues Certificate issued by the current institution;

   g) No Objection Certificate (for foreign students); and

   h) attested copy of the curriculum taught (for students from non-affiliated institutions).

5. Applications may be edited prior to final submission. No modification shall be permissible after submission.

Schedule

General Provisions

1. Migration between public and private sector institutions, or vice versa, and inter-programme transfers between MBBS and BDS shall not be permitted.

2. Migration shall be granted strictly on merit and subject to availability of seats.

3. No candidate shall be eligible for migration to any college where the closing merit exceeds the candidate’s own merit.

4. Mutual or reciprocal exchanges of students shall not be allowed.

5. Applications that are incomplete, submitted through unauthorized means, or found in violation of prescribed procedures, including non-payment of the prescribed fee within the stipulated time, shall be liable to rejection.

6. Candidates whose migration is approved shall join the allotted institution within seven (07) days of issuance of the acceptance notification, along with complete academic records, failing which the migration shall stand cancelled and the seat shall be offered to the next eligible candidate on merit.

7. Migration shall be permissible only once during the entire duration of the MBBS/BDS programme, subject to applicable rules of PM&DC and the affiliating universities. Failure to avail the granted opportunity of migration shall render the candidate ineligible for any future migration during the remaining course of study.
