Under the Green Initiative of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Government of Punjab has officially launched Phase 2 of the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme. Through this initiative, electric motorbikes and scooters are being provided to students across Punjab on easy monthly installments. Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme, applicants must fulfill the following mandatory requirements:

1. Regular Student Status

• The applicant must be a regular student enrolled in a public or HEC-recognized private degree college or university located in Punjab.

2. Age and Residency

• The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.

• A valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) or Domicile of Punjab is mandatory.

3. Driving Credentials

• The applicant must possess a valid motorcycle driving license, learner’s permit, or juvenile permit issued by Traffic Police.

4. Financial Guarantor Requirement

• The student must have a valid financial guarantor (father, mother, or legal guardian) with an active CNIC and proof of income.

Ineligible Applicants

Based on official portal rules and policy guidelines, the following individuals are ineligible to apply as primary applicants:

1. Non-Students and General Public

• Government & Private Employees: The portal is currently restricted to regular students only. Employees cannot apply as main applicants (however, government or private employees can act as guarantors/guarantors for their children or relatives).

• Business Owners & General Citizens: Individuals who are not currently enrolled as regular students in an eligible educational institution cannot apply.

2. Academic Ineligibility

• School Children Under 18: Students under 18 years of age are not eligible.

• Private / Ex-Students: Students taking private examinations or studying externally without attending regular classes.

• Unrecognized Institutions: Students studying in non-affiliated colleges or universities located outside Punjab.

3. Missing Documentation & Policy Restrictions

• Without Driving Permit: Students who do not hold a valid learner’s permit or driving license.

• Out-of-Province Residents: Individuals without a Punjab domicile or Punjab CNIC.

• Multiple Family Applicants: Only one motorcycle/scooter can be allotted per family.

• Visit the official portal at bikes.punjab.gov.pk.

• Create a new account by entering your CNIC number, email address, and registered mobile number (the SIM card must be registered under the student’s or guarantor’s name).

Step 2: Fill Out Personal & Educational Details

• Log in to your portal account and complete the required profile details.

• Enter your educational details, university/college name, roll number, and degree level.

Step 3: Enter Guarantor Information

• Provide details of your financial guarantor (parent or legal guardian), including their CNIC number and income verification proof (e.g., salary slip or income certificate).

Step 4: Bike Selection & Application Submission

• Select your preferred electric bike model and specifications.

• Review all entered information carefully and submit your final application.

• Zero Down Payment: Selected students are not required to pay any upfront down payment.

• 0% Interest (Markup Subsidized): All markup/interest costs will be fully absorbed by the Government of Punjab.

• Monthly Installments: Successful candidates will pay an affordable monthly installment of around PKR 3,028 spread over 3 years.

• Complimentary Safety Gear: Each vehicle comes with a free helmet and protective safety side bars.
